GuardCam is also a free smart car security system. It detects when the phone is moved. You can use GuadCam to alert you if your car is hit by something or broken into. The app can detect shakes and small movements using the phone accelerometer and notify you withing seconds. The image below shows how this works:

On Phone 1 you activate the Shake Detect service and choose the Shake Detect Sensitivity (low means it detects larger impacts/shakes and very high means it can even detect even a ball falling on your car).

Now, depending on where you pace your phone, you’ll get different results. We encourage you to attach your phone to the dashboard or windshield using a solid mount. In this way it will sense more accurately the vibrations your vehicle experiences during a hit. Also, keep in mind, that Phone 1, the one that you'll mainly use with the app, it's supposed to be an older one; one that you can leave in your car with any problems.

On Phone 2 you activate the Shake Alerts service (above image). By doing this, you'll be able to get notification within seconds (less than 10) since the phone left in the vehicle detects a shake/hit. If, on Phone 1, you also activate Remote Streaming service, you can see what caused the shake/hit by accessing, remotely, the camera of the phone left in the car.
